The LawHut was set up by Michael Le Fort in April 2020 because he believes that a more informal way of working with clients allows a more personal approach and also means the cost savings of no office overheads can be passed on directly to his clients.
Michael is a member of The Society of Will Writers, a qualified solicitor and barrister. He has many years of experience assisting individuals and families with their estate planning, preparation in case of loss of mental capacity and helping those in contentious cases when things have not gone as planned. Michael is a fully accredited member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly) - read more about SFE here.
Michael is able to offer you the benefit of his experience from the front line of the legal world when dealing with all aspects of your personal affairs and, in particular, any future plans that you have for you and your family.
In his spare time Michael is a Parish Councillor for the parish of Laneast in North Cornwall and a Governor of Milton Abbey School in Dorset. Thanks to his more than elderly cottage he is rapidly becoming an expert in the use of acroprops and lime mortar.
Alfie is a 2 and a half year-old cocker spaniel and came on board as the office help to assist Michael. Unfortunately, he cannot be called upon to act as a witness to any Wills so helps with the proofreading.
When Alfie takes a break from helping with the Wills, he enjoys going out for runs with Michael to explore the local area and sleeping in front of the fire.
